Serious Illness Cover
Critical
Illness
Good health is the cornerstone on which we build our lives, but
we sometimes take our health for granted especially when we are
younger. It is never too early to make a positive decision to provide
ourselves with substantial financial cover.
Critical Illness Cover
benefit pays a lump sum upon the medical diagnosis of you suffering
one of the 28 illnesses covered, such as cancer, heart related,
stroke, multiple sclerosis and surviving at least 14 days from the
date of diagnosis.
The lump sum benefit could be used to pay off
your mortgage, pay for medical bills or replace loss of income in
the event of you being unable to return to work.
The statistics are Frightening!
Statistics now show that you are four times more likely to suffer one of the covered serious illness conditions before the age of 65 than you are of dying from any cause
The average age of claimants on Critical Illness benefit is just
46
Almost 40% of all claims are made by those under 45 – but
just 20% of the population have such a policy.
Cancer and heart related illnesses dominate for males, with 31%
of all claims respectively, whereas cancer is the main critical
illness for women representing 60% of all claims.
Many people are put off taking out a policy because of the cost,
but the earlier a policy is taken out, the cheaper it will potentially
cost in the long term
